Our Schedule

Want to know more about meditation and mindfulness principles? Drop into one of our meditation classes.

We offer weekly meditation groups to support deepening your meditation practice. Our classes include a brief meditation followed by a discussion of meditation- and mindfulness-related material.

Open Door Meditation Center is an open and welcoming community. We invite individuals from all faiths, belief systems, and backgrounds to be part of our community.

If you are new to meditation, we encourage you to arrive a few minutes early so we can orient you to our group.  It is recommended that you wear comfortable attire. No need to bring anything other than yourself; cushions, mats, and chairs are provided.

Mindfulness Meditation
This class offers a brief silent meditation, followed by a discussion of mindfulness and dharma principles to support and deepen your practice.

Mindfulness Meditation
Experience a short silent meditation, then delve into key mindfulness principles to help strengthen and guide your ongoing practice.

SATURDAYS

Dharma Class
The Saturday Sangha is primarily based on Tibetan Buddhism principles and practice. All are welcome, though having a foundation in meditation is encouraged.

Book Club
Participants discuss selected dharma-centered readings, strengthening their mindfulness practice through shared insights and reflections on books selected by group members.

BIPOC Community Meditation
A welcoming community-focused affinity group for Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities. Join us for a guided meditation and a silent sit for all levels. Come discuss how to incorporate meditation and mindfulness into your daily life to support your well-being.

Community Potluck

Please note that we have moved our potluck from Fridays for the last three months of the year. 

Community is the life force of Open Door Meditation Center. We invite you to join us at our monthly potluck. This is a wonderful opportunity to build meaningful relationships within our community and invite the meditation-curious to get to know us. We invite you to bring a dish, homemade or store-bought, to share.
